Chess Wizards, Inc. is seeking enthusiastic, reliable instructors to join our after-school enrichment program in Rochester, MI. If you enjoy teaching chess to elementary students and creating a positive classroom environment, this side-hustle is for you.

Lead engaging, structured lessons for 10–15 kids, travel to local schools, and earn $55–$65 per class with mileage reimbursement for long trips. Flexible schedule of 1–5 classes weekly in the 2:00–5:00 PM window.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, camp counseling, or similar).
• Ability to lead a class independently and create interactive, fun sessions.
• Professional, positive, and kid-friendly demeanor.
• Strong grasp of chess fundamentals and the ability to explain piece movement, basic strategy, and simple tactics to kids.
• Reliable personal transportation and ability to drive between locations.
• Weekday afternoon availability with 2:00 PM–5:00 PM start times for 1–5 classes per week.
• Commitment to school safety protocols and reliability in supervising students.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 elementary students.
