Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC is seeking a Kidney Territory Account Manager to lead engagement with nephrologists and specialty kidney clinics in the Grand Rapids, MI region. You will build relationships, develop strategic plans, and drive product knowledge to improve patient care.

The role requires significant field travel (up to 80%), residency within the territory, and a track record of sales success in pharma, with a Bachelor’s degree and kidney/rare disease experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Typically 5 years of field sales in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in kidney/renal disease, rare disease, or related biotech markets is preferred.
• Product launch experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships with nephrologists and HCPs as territory account manager for specialty kidney clinics.
• Develop and maintain disease/product knowledge and educate HCPs on product use.
• Understand territory, market dynamics, stakeholder mapping and access drivers/barriers.
• Achieve individual territory performance and contribute to broader team results.
• Collaborate across functions to meet goals and address challenges.
• Attend meetings, participate in projects, and adhere to regulatory guidelines.
