Job summary

Theuniversityunion is seeking a Kid Zone Supervisor to oversee staff and provide a quality childcare experience aligned with our YMCA values. You will supervise staff, model positive interactions, and ensure safety and effective communication with members and staff.

The role requires coordinating with the program Coordinator/Director, managing schedules, and participating in trainings. Weekend availability is requested, with a flexible schedule across days.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required with at least 2 years’ experience working with young children.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Must obtain YMCA CPR/First Aid and Emergency Oxygen certifications within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision to staff during shifts in Kid Zone.
• Models relationship-building skills in all interactions.
• Maintains regular, clear, and concise communication within area of responsibility.
• Leads staff by role modeling child and member engagement at all times.
• Ensures safety procedures are known and followed by staff in Kid Zone areas.
• Coordinates coverage with Program Coordinator/Director to meet branch guidelines.
