Job summary

YMCA of the Triangle in Apex, NC is seeking a Kid Zone Supervisor to lead staff and provide a quality childcare experience for children and families. The role supports the program coordinator and adheres to YMCA core values.

Job schedule includes morning and afternoon shifts; sub-only positions are available. The role requires supervising shifts, promoting safety, coordinating activities, and maintaining open communication with leadership and members.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED with 2 years’ experience with young children.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Professional, courteous and friendly with initiative.
• Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community.
• Must obtain YMCA CPR/First Aid/AED certs within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff during shifts in Kid Zone.
• Lead by example in child and member engagement.
• Maintain clear, concise communication within area.
• Coordinate coverage with supervisor for branch guidelines.
• Organize daily and monthly activities and events.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Follow YMCA policies including safety and emergencies.
