Job summary

Family Dollar in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a part-time associate to deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers with merchandise, and process sales at the POS. The role supports store operations, inventory, and deliveries while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate will have high school completion, prior retail experience preferred, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to greet and assist customers with a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Effective communication and problem solving to resolve customer inquiries.
• Experience handling cash and processing transactions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Guide store team on Family Dollar operating practices and procedures.
• Greet customers, assist with merchandise selection, answer questions and resolve concerns.
• Increase basket size through suggestive selling and promotions.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and positive image to customers and community.
• Handle cash and POS transactions accurately.
• Assist in unloading merchandise and stocking shelves; support deliveries and replenishment.
• Participate in opening/closing duties when needed and support cashiers.
• Complete required training timely and follow all company policies.
