EPE USA in Hayward, CA seeks a Key Account Manager / Packaging Engineer to support a strategic Bay Area customer. This hybrid role combines key account management, hands-on packaging engineering, and technical project management.

You will design, develop, and optimize packaging solutions, manage projects from requirements to production, and work directly with customers, traveling as needed. Strong relationship-building and problem-solving are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of packaging engineering, manufacturing engineering, or technical account mgmt.
• Protective packaging experience and customer-facing engineering preferred.
• Ability to travel to customer facilities and EPE locations.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the primary point of contact for a key customer, building strong relationships and ensuring exceptional service.
• Design, develop, evaluate, and optimize packaging solutions based on customer product requirements, protection needs, cost objectives, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Create and modify packaging designs, technical drawings, and prototypes using CAD software.
• Manage packaging development projects from initial customer requirements through design, prototyping, testing, approval, and production implementation.
• Provide technical support during packaging implementation, production, and troubleshooting.
• Recommend design improvements that increase product protection, packaging performance, sustainability, and operational effectiveness.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the customer's products, packaging requirements, operational processes, and business objectives.
• Maintain awareness of customer business trends, competitive activity, and future programs that may affect assigned accounts.

What We Are Looking for:

EPE USA is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Key Account Manager / Packaging Engineer to support a strategic customer in the Bay Area. This hybrid position combines key account management, hands-on packaging engineering, technical project management, and customer support.

This unique opportunity combines customer relationship management with hands-on packaging engineering. We're looking for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, solving technical challenges, and developing innovative packaging solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in packaging engineering, manufacturing engineering, technical account management, or a related field.
• Protective packaging experience and previous customer-facing engineering experience are highly preferred.
• Ability to travel to customer facilities and EPE locations as business needs require.

Location Requirements

• Candidates must reside in the Bay Area, including San Jose, Oakland, Fremont, Hayward, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, or surrounding communities.
• Must be available for regular in-person customer meetings and onsite support.
• Ability to travel to other customer locations and EPE facilities as business needs require.
