Job summary

Tucker Freight Lines is seeking a Dedicated Account Manager to oversee a single high-value customer relationship while dispatching its dedicated drivers. You will be the primary point of contact, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and growth within the assigned account.

This role requires the ability to independently resolve transactional questions with minimal supervision and to develop strong partnerships with customer stakeholders and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in account management, customer service, or logistics/supply chain operations (transportation industry preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Teamwork-oriented with strong problem-solving in group settings.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for the dedicated customer, ensuring clear communication and prompt responses.
• Build and maintain a strong partnership by understanding the customer’s business goals.
• Accurately enter customer orders.
• Provide timely order status updates to customers.
• Understand customer needs to proactively manage supply chains and minimize delays.
• Analyze and resolve order-entry issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams in a professional manner.
• Provide ideas to improve efficiency and processes.
• Drive growth opportunities within the account by identifying expanded services.
• Develop and sustain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Advocate for the customer’s priorities within Tucker Freight Lines.
• Lead and support a team of CDL Class A drivers.
• Foster trust-based relationships with drivers through communication and professionalism.
• Coordinate and dispatch drivers to ensure timely freight pickups and deliveries.
• Monitor and track driver performance and load status; resolve issues proactively.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
