Job summary

Tucker Freight Lines is seeking a Dedicated Account Manager to oversee a single high-value customer relationship while dispatching its dedicated drivers. You will be the primary point of contact, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and growth within the assigned account.

This role requires the ability to independently resolve transactional questions with minimal supervision and to develop strong partnerships with customer stakeholders and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in account management, customer service, or logistics/supply chain operations (transportation industry preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Teamwork-oriented with strong problem-solving in group settings.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for the dedicated customer, ensuring clear communication and prompt responses.
• Build and maintain a strong partnership by understanding the customer’s business goals.
• Accurately enter customer orders.
• Provide timely order status updates to customers.
• Understand customer needs to proactively manage supply chains and minimize delays.
• Analyze and resolve order-entry issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams in a professional manner.
• Provide ideas to improve efficiency and processes.
• Drive growth opportunities within the account by identifying expanded services.
• Develop and sustain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Advocate for the customer’s priorities within Tucker Freight Lines.
• Lead and support a team of CDL Class A drivers.
• Foster trust-based relationships with drivers through communication and professionalism.
• Coordinate and dispatch drivers to ensure timely freight pickups and deliveries.
• Monitor and track driver performance and load status; resolve issues proactively.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

The Dedicated Account Manager will oversee a single, high-value customer relationship while dispatching its dedicated drivers. This individual will act as the primary point of contact, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and continued growth within the assigned account. This position requires the ability to independently resolve transactional questions and problems with minimal supervision .

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the dedicated customer, ensuring clear communication, prompt response, and exceptional service.
• Build and maintain a strong partnership through consistent, positive interactions and a deep understanding of the customer’s business needs and goals.
• Accurately & efficiently enters customer orders
• Provides timely order status updates to customers
• Understands customer needs and demands to proactively manage supply chains and minimize delays.
• A nalyzes and creatively resolves issues related to order entry concerns.
• Engages in a professional and collaborative manner with internal team members.
• Provides feedback and ideas to create better efficiency and processes.

Drive growth opportunities within the assigned customer account by identifying areas for expanded service or value-added solutions.

Develop and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within the customer organization.

Act as the customer advocate within Tucker Freight Lines, ensuring their priorities are clearly represented and consistently met.

Lead and support a team of professional CDL Class A drivers.

Develop strong, trust-based relationships with drivers through consistent communication, professionalism, and mutual respect.

Coordinate and dispatch drivers to ensure timely pickup and delivery of freight.

Monitor and track driver performance and load status to ensure on-time service and proactively resolve any issues.

Additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proven experience in account management, customer service, or logistics/supply chain operations (transportation industry preferred).
• Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft word, excel, etc.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• Must be a self-starter and have a positive, “can-do” attitude
