Job Description

This is a remote work from home role that may be seated in the Northeast (New England area ideally) provided the applicant resides near a major metropolitan airport.

We're looking for a Key Account Manager to join our Cannabis Segment team in the United States.

Role Responsibilities:

  • The Key Account Manager is the primary contact for customers, coordinating activities to advance sales opportunities. You will understand customer needs, create demand, and develop solutions with appropriate products and services, owning the client relationship.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of horticulture production within climate-controlled growing environments to connect growing aspects with our technology benefits.
  • Achieve sales targets within your territory by collaborating with product management, supply chain, and marketing teams.

Network Building & Account Management:

  • Develop a network of decision-makers, influencers, and partners in horticulture to generate a healthy pipeline of opportunities. You will also handle account planning, forecasting, and updating account profiles.

Collaboration & Customer Engagement:

  • Work closely with plant specialists and project engineers. Facilitate co-creation with growers through field tests and commercial follow-ups, developing tailored LED growth light solutions. Lead strategic meetings with senior management and monitor industry trends and competitor activity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, or relevant experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in horticultural sales, customer relations, or business development within controlled growing environments.
  • Technical knowledge of crops like cannabis in climate-controlled industries.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, consultative selling experience, and ability to develop complex business cases.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, CRM, and business development strategies.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary range: $107,000 - $157,000
  • Target bonus: 45% of sales incentive
