Job summary

What We Offer

This role is responsible for raw material sales to leading Adhesive, Sealant, and Coatings producers in North America. The role also drives growth and collaborative innovation with this customer group. The incumbent will develop, implement, and realize the account strategy within the overall business plan and corporate guidelines to ensure business growth targets and long-term customer relationships are achieved.

Coordinate and manage pricing, including price increases, in coordination with global account teams, and document all visits and calls with detailed reports.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain the account strategy and business plan to achieve or exceed growth targets in volume, revenue, and profitability.
  2. Set up, coordinate, and execute specific account tactics and plans to meet sales and customer relationship objectives, aligning with regional and corporate targets.
  3. Negotiate global contracts, pricing, rebates, and other terms.
  4. Lead negotiations with procurement executives at the account.
  5. Coordinate with Legal, Intellectual Property, and Compliance departments on non-disclosure and joint development agreements.
  6. Gather and share competitive intelligence to enhance market share and displace competitors.
  7. Build and maintain cross-layer networks within the account through direct engagement and stakeholder positioning.
  8. Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with key contacts across various departments.
  9. Facilitate senior management meetings with customer counterparts.
  10. Identify unmet customer needs and build a pipeline of sales and innovation opportunities.
  11. Monitor and report on account plan execution and performance indicators, taking corrective actions as needed.
  12. Benchmark and analyze competitors and market requirements, incorporating findings into plans.
  13. Coordinate technical and after-sales services.
  14. Manage complaint processes and ensure timely resolution.
  15. Monitor payment behaviors and ensure timely payments.
  16. Adhere to HSEQ standards and propose enhancements to promote a safe and healthy work environment.

What You Offer

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related business field.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in complex sales and account management with a BS, or six years with an MS, including five in the Coatings industry.
  • Experience in multi-cultural and global sales coordination.
  • Knowledge of customer, supplier, competitive products, applications, and processes in the Coatings industry.
