Job summary

Sigma Foods in California seeks an experienced sales professional to drive new business with regional mainstream grocery and specialty chains. Identify opportunities, assess product-market fit, negotiate terms, and execute contracts from outreach to first shipment.

You will lead field teams for merchandising, partner with brokers, and own pipeline tracking, quarterly planning, and revenue projections. Strong knowledge of syndicated data tools and category management is essential.

Qualifications

• Four years of CPG food sales experience with a focus on new business development.
• Established relationships with regional grocery and specialty chain buyers preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Execute against a defined whitespace map prioritizing accounts and assess product-market fit.
• Negotiate trading terms, promotions, and distribution with new retail partners.
• Build and manage a structured pipeline from outreach through sell-in and first shipment.
• Lead field teams for merchandising, sampling, and in-store sales activity.
• Partner with brokers and distributors to accelerate new account activation.
• Maintain pipeline, territory performance reporting, and quarterly planning.
