Job summary

The Salvation Army Crystal Lake Corps is seeking a Kettle Office Assistant to support the Christmas kettle campaign. You will manage volunteer bell ringers, handle deposits, and ensure smooth office operations at the Crystal Lake Corps.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, some human services experience, and the ability to work with volunteers. This part-time role supports a charitable mission and involves light to moderate travel within the community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School degree.
• At least three years of work and/or educational experience in the human service field preferred.
• Pass TSA MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Answer the phone and book volunteer bell ringers.
• Greet volunteers, distribute kettle supplies, and log returned kettles.
• Help troubleshoot issues and inform the Corps Officer or Volunteer & Community Relations Manager.
• Respond to urgent situations and travel to kettle locations as needed.
• Handle Kettle Fund Deposits with accuracy and security.
• Ensure daily route sheets are printed and distributed.
• Enter kettle numbers into the kettle spreadsheet and post totals.
• Kettle driver as needed.
• Participate in the Donation Inventory as assigned.
• Oversee other office duties as assigned.
• Manage TipTap machines and coordinate with leadership to resolve issues.
