Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a Fire Chief to lead our government customer on Kaua'i, Hawai'i. The role oversees a 24-hour rotating shift, maintains safety compliance, and manages firefighting operations, training, and prevention programs.

The Fire Chief will supervise personnel, develop IAPs, coordinate inspections, and ensure readiness of apparatus, equipment, and facilities while meeting NFPA 1500 and DoD guidance. U.S. citizenship and security eligibility required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and valid Driver’s License.
• Professional Certifications (IFSAC/ProBoard) such as Fire Officer IV, Fire Inspector III, Fire Instructor II.

Responsibilities

• Manage personnel across a 24-hour rotating shift operation.
• Administer corrective or disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure inspection and readiness of fire apparatus, vehicles, PPE, and systems.
• Develop and maintain fire prevention and education programs.
• Develop and maintain F&ES training and education programs.
• Develop and maintain an OSH program compliant with NFPA 1500.
