Shaw Industries Group, Inc. in Topeka, KS seeks a Retail Territory Manager for Hard and Soft Surface Flooring.

You will maintain and grow Shaw’s profitability and market share by building relationships with flooring dealers, designers, and end-users, and executing major market programs across Topeka through Colby. The role requires travel within the market, strong product knowledge, and the ability to lift displays.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED and 1 year of sales experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Completion of the Shaw sales trainee program can be substituted for experience.
• Must reside in the market - Topeka, Manhattan, or Salina, KS
• Must be able to travel in a vehicle that can carry a number of product sample boards requiring a van or an approved SUV.
• Ability to lift samples and build displays, up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include some evenings.
• Proven experience using a laptop computer and basic Microsoft Windows software including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Daily sales calls on existing customers with special emphasis on the sale hard surface flooring products, samples, displays, adhesive, and related floor products.
• Present products to the retail dealers, designers and end-users as well as analyze all leads provided by corporate reports.
• Sell and construct display racks weighing 50lbs or more on a regular basis.
• Continually prospect for viable new accounts while developing a keen awareness of what is happening within their designated geographic area.
• Prepare reports of business transactions and sales reports showing sales volume and potential sales.
• Prepare and communicate periodic sales reports outlining actual sales information and goals, competitive market conditions and product needs.
• Analyze sales statistics by reviewing computer reports specific to his/her territory to aid in formulating goals and to assist dealers in promoting sales.
• Analyze and control travel and entertainment expenditures as well as sample budget to conform to budgetary requirements.
• Enter all customer interactions and key information into Salesforce.com
• Responsible for selling and promoting all residential products including Shaw Floors, Anderson Tuftex, Coretec, and Philly Commercial and educating customers on these products.
