Job summary

Brooklyn Schools is seeking a Speech/Language Pathologist to service Pre-K through 8th grade for the 2025-2026 school year. The candidate should hold CT certification for SLP and be able to participate in PPT meetings, create IEP goals, and develop aligned instructional plans.

The role includes collaboration with teachers and specialists, preparation of written reports, parental communication, and safeguarding student confidentiality. Supervision of SLPA staff is expected where applicable.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in an education discipline.
• CT state certification for Speech and Language Pathologist.
• Experience with IEPs, PPT meetings and student objectives.
• Ability to supervise SLPA's and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in PPT meetings and create IEP goals and objectives.
• Develop instructional/therapeutic lessons aligned with IEP objectives.
• Provide written reports with diagnostic data and recommendations for interventions.
• Provide consultative services to teachers and school personnel on speech and language performance.
• Share information and progress with parents as appropriate.
• Maintain confidentiality of students and records.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support student success.
• Possess ability to supervise SLPA's.
