Job summary

New London Public Schools is seeking a part-time, 10-month Speech-Language Pathologist to diagnose communicative disorders and deliver evidence-based therapy. The role includes planning, directing, and participating in sessions aimed at remediation of articulation issues, with collaboration across PPT and IEP teams.

Minimum requirements include a valid CT educator certificate with endorsement 061, CT DPH license, and ASHA CCC. Bilingual Spanish or Haitian Creole is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut educator certificate with endorsement 061.
• CT Department of Public Health license required.
• ASHA CCC preferred/required depending on district policy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and provide speech-language services for students with communication disorders.
• Deliver direct and consultative therapy; monitor progress and implement strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other providers to support student achievement.
• Conduct screenings, assessments, and progress reporting; maintain required documentation including Medicaid billing.
• Promote inclusive learning environments with guidance on speech, language, hearing, voice, and fluency development.
