Job summary

The Dysart Unified School District seeks a paraprofessional to assist the Special Education Teacher with implementing Specialized Programs and IEPs for students with disabilities, supporting inclusive education in the classroom.

Responsibilities include planning with teachers, following lesson plans, maintaining confidentiality, assisting with instructional materials, and participating in district professional development; a high school diploma or GED and Dysart-approved exam are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AA degree or 60 college credit hours or Dysart-approved exam to be eligible.

Responsibilities

• Participates in planning activities/work assignments for specialized programs, preschool, and/or individual students.
• Assists the teacher in carrying out activities/work assignments for students in specialized programs, preschool, and/or individual students.
• Implements district program with fidelity for specialized programs and follows defined IEPs for individual students.
• Maintains confidentiality and supports classroom management and records.
