Job summary

Soliant is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a contract role near Lockport, IL. You will work directly with students in K-8 settings within special education cooperative programs, delivering targeted therapy a minimum of three days per week.

The ideal candidate holds CCC-SLP, current licensure in Illinois, and school-based experience with K-8. You will collaborate with teachers and families and tailor interventions for diverse communication needs using AAC and assistive technology.

Qualifications

• Current SLP licensure with CCC-SLP required.
• Experience in school settings, especially with K-8 students.
• Familiarity with CD (Communicative Disorders) and CAD (Communication/Assistive Device) classrooms preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to tailor therapy for students with complex communication needs.
• Strong collaboration skills to work alongside educators and special education staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to K-8 students in special education cooperative classrooms.
• Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized speech-language programs targeting significant language-related deficits.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings.
• Adapt materials and approaches to meet diverse communication needs, including use of AAC and assistive technology.
