Job summary

Lowcountry Connections Academy (LCCA) seeks a certified Elementary School Teacher (K-5) to manage virtual instruction from home for SC students. You will consult with learning coaches and students to ensure successful completion of the instructional program.

Responsibilities include grading, progress reports, parent conferences, and collaborating with teachers to develop Personal Learning Plans. A strong technology background and remote-work ability are essential, with occasional evening hours

Qualifications

• Certified to teach Elementary School (K-5) in South Carolina
• Must reside in South Carolina
• Gifted and Talented Endorsement highly recommended
• Strong technology skills (MS Office, Google Suite)
• Excellent communication, oral and written
• Highly organized and punctual
• Customer focused and flexible
• Team player with willingness to travel for testing events
• Ability to work remotely and evenings as needed
• Use personal device and two-step authentication

Responsibilities

• Deliver asynchronous and synchronous instruction using a variety of tools.
• Complete grading, generate progress reports, and conduct parent conferences.
• Communicate with parents, students and teachers to develop Personal Learning Plans and schedules.
• Develop deep knowledge of the K-12 curriculum and the grades taught.
• Support students and families with alternate strategies for daily assignments and projects.
• Maintain up-to-date student records, attendance, and contact logs.
• Collaborate with staff to create enrichment activities and program modifications.
• Help build a virtual school community and participate in state testing activities.
• Participate in student recruitment and other family outreach efforts.
• Attend field trips and community activities as organized.
