Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Converse, Texas, seeks an inspiring teacher to serve grades 3–5, delivering rigorous instruction and leveraging data to drive student growth toward college readiness. You will collaborate with families to support achievement and embody IDEA values daily.

You will implement state standards, submit lesson plans, assess learning, and contribute to a positive school culture while promoting equity and high expectations for all scholars.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution is required.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting is strongly preferred.
• Reading Academies certification for K-3 or willingness to obtain TX training within required timelines.
• Bilingual certification strongly preferred; ESL certification preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Assess and track each student’s progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Communicate students’ progress with families on a weekly basis.
• Maintain a clear behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives.
• Foster a positive school culture and engage in tutoring as needed.
