IDEA Public Schools in Austin, TX seeks a dedicated teacher to uphold high standards and college readiness. You will implement state standards, deliver rigorous instruction, and monitor student progress with weekly plans and data-driven adjustments.

Responsibilities include engaging families, collaborating with teams, and providing tutoring as needed. A Bachelor’s degree and TEA credentials are required; bilingual options are valued.

Qualifications

• High level of content-area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification or work-experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting strongly preferred.
• Reading Academies certification in accordance with TEA requirements or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track each student’s progress and adjust plans accordingly.
• Communicate students’ progress with families weekly.
• Utilize technology as an educational tool to enhance achievement.
• Maintain a clear behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives.
