Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks an Early Education teacher to help students master essential academic and social skills, preparing them for college while modeling IDEA’s values daily.

The role involves planning rigorous instruction, assessing mastery, analyzing data to tailor lessons, and collaborating with families and staff to drive student growth across grades PK-3 in our Texas campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution is required.
• K-12 classroom teaching experience strongly preferred.
• TEA Reading Academies certification or willingness to obtain TX training within required timelines.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Implement formal and informal assessments to track each student’s progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families on a weekly basis.
• Establish a clear behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
• Host tutoring sessions as needed.
• Participate in weekly manager check-ins and school-wide meetings.
• Spend 40+ hours at school per week.
