Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks a dedicated teacher to deliver rigorous instruction aligned with state standards and IDEA curricula. You will plan and deliver data‑driven lessons, monitor student progress, and engage families weekly.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, K‑12 teaching experience, and relevant certifications. You will contribute to a dynamic team fostering college readiness and strong school culture in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year institution is required.
• Reading Academies certification or willingness to obtain TEA training is required.
• K‑12 classroom teaching experience strongly preferred.
• Bilingual certification strongly preferred; ESL certification preferred.
• Knowledge of core academic subject and ability to pass IDEA content assessment.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track each student’s progress and adjust lesson plans, update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Facilitate instruction using technology to support learning and engage students.
• Maintain a clear behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
