Harlem Children's Zone is seeking an Academic Intervention Specialist to support K-5 scholars through data-driven, targeted small-group instruction within Promise Academy.

Ideal candidate holds a Master’s in education and NYSTeaching Certification with at least two years of urban teaching experience. You will collaborate with teachers and MTSS teams on intervention programming and scholar progress monitoring.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and NYS certification required.
• Minimum two years of urban classroom teaching experience.
• Experience with progress monitoring and data-driven instruction.
• Strong collaboration with MTSS teams and school leaders.

Responsabilités

• Deliver instruction to scholars in small groups or one-on-one using push-in and pull-out models.
• Analyze data to identify scholar needs and evaluate intervention effectiveness.
• Set goals and outcomes based on assessments in ELA and math.
• Track scholar progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Assist in conducting assessments with teachers and staff.
• Coordinate intervention programming with MTSS Team and school leadership.
• Communicate with teachers, parents, and staff to ensure coordinated scholar support.

Connaissances

Formation

Master's degree in education or related field

NYS Teaching Certification (upper elementary or special education/literacy, all grades)

Two years of experience teaching in an urban school setting
