Job summary

Detroit Independent School District Elementary seeks a K-5 Math Interventionist to support interventions for struggling students and assist teachers across campus. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Masters preferred
• Texas Teacher Certification for assigned area
• 5 years of classroom teaching experience
• Knowledge of district curriculum and assessments

Responsibilities

• Works with individual students and groups to provide effective interventions to improve performance.
• Support classroom instruction through modeling and mentoring.
• Facilitate campus RTI screening and assist with state/local assessments.
• Review student data with teachers and determine appropriate tiered interventions.
• Collaborate with Instructional Specialists and administrators to strengthen instructional program.
