Job summary

Crossover is hiring for a Lower School Teacher to support Alpha campuses nationwide. You will guide K-3 students through app-based literacy activities, diagnose decoding gaps, and implement a short, diagnostic teaching sequence you design.

Expect to stay with students from launch to closing and relocate as needed. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years with young learners, plus structured-literacy training or a master's in literacy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years direct work with children aged 4-9: teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, after-school activities.
• At least 2 years teaching reading in grades K-3 within last 5 years.
• Structured-literacy training or master's in reading/literacy preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in any subject; teaching certificate not required.
• Comfortable guiding students through app-based learning and campus routines.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Get K-3 students to their daily learning goals and close reading gaps.
• Lead short literacy sessions with small groups using structured sequences.
• Conduct morning launches, workshops, and check-chart activities.
• Drive students toward weekly app goals using school currency and gamification.
• Stay with students through lunch, recess, and closing with proactive plans for frustrated children.
