Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 48 college credits or ability to pass WorkKeys and 96 hours of in-service training or NC DOL Apprenticeship Program or NC ATA PD Plan.

Responsibilities

• Assists children individually or in small groups to help them master assignments and reinforce concepts.
• Supervises students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, school yards, gymnasiums, or on field trips.
• Enforces administration policies and rules governing students.
• Discusses duties with teachers to coordinate instructional efforts.
• Instructs and monitors students in use and care of equipment to prevent injuries and damage.
• Observes students' performance and records relevant data to assess progress.
