Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking K-3 Teacher Assistants to provide additional assistance and instruction to students under the supervision of a teacher or principal. Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate's Degree or 48 credit hours or equivalent.
• Ability to pass WorkKeys and complete in-service training.
• NC DOL Apprenticeship Program or NC ATA Professional Development Plan completion

Responsibilities

• Assists children individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Supervises students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, and on field trips.
• Enforces administration policies and rules governing students.
• Discusses duties with teachers to coordinate instructional efforts.
• Instructs and monitors students in the use and care of equipment and materials.
• Observes students' performance and records relevant data to assess progress.
