Job summary

Alpha reimagines the school day around faster learning and better mentorship. This is a full‑time, on‑site Academic Coach role at an Alpha campus, Seattle area. You will work with K‑3 students, diagnose reading gaps, and guide structured literacy through app-based learning and live sessions.

You’ll partner with families, track progress with weekly data, and stay with students through lunch and routines. Relocation support is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4–9.
• At least 2 years coaching reading in grades K‑3 within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master’s in reading or literacy.
• Bachelor’s degree; teaching certificate not required.

Responsibilities

• Coach students through app-based core learning and diagnose gaps.
• Lead short structured literacy sessions with 2–4 students.
• Maintain morning launches, workshops, and daily check‑chart activities.
• Drive students to weekly app goals using rewards and gamification.
• Stay with students through lunch, recess, and closing with a plan.
