Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Youth Development Coach to guide K-3 students through app-based learning on-site at Alpha campuses nationwide. You will diagnose reading gaps, design brief intervention sequences, and monitor progress within a supportive, structured environment.

Ideal candidates have several years working with children 4-9, strong literacy training, and a commitment to hands-on, in-class coaching from launch to close.

Responsibilities

• Coaching students through app-based core learning: spotting gaps, asking the unblocking questions, and maintaining daily goals.
• Running short structured-literacy sessions with 2–4 students, diagnosing gaps, teaching a designed sequence, and checking transfer.
• Leading morning launch, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities to keep six-year-olds engaged.
• Driving students to weekly app goals using school currency, leaderboards, and gamification.
• Staying with students through lunch, recess, and closing, addressing frustration with actionable plans.
