Job summary

Commonwealth Charter Academy in Harrisburg, PA, seeks an Elementary Teacher for grades K-2 to support learning from one of its Family Service Centers. The teacher will virtually manage instructional programs, consult with learning coaches and students, and ensure progress through regular communication and assessments.

Responsibilities include grading, progress reporting, parent conferences, and coordinating with other teachers to tailor curriculum for each student.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and PA teaching certificate.
Full-time commitment at a CCA Family Service Center.
Strong technology skills with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Willingness to travel occasionally for community outreach and state testing.
Occasional evening hours may be required.

Responsibilities

Complete grading, create progress reports and conduct parent conferences promptly.
Support instructional program with asynchronous web conferences and synchronous sessions.
Review curriculum and adapt lessons to increase student understanding.
Maintain student records, grades, attendance and communications with families.
Coordinate social activities and field trips for students and families.
Assist with State Testing and community outreach activities.
