Job summary

Commonwealth Charter Academy is seeking an Elementary Teacher for grades 3-5 to work from a CCA Family Service Center in Harrisburg, PA. The teacher will virtually manage instructional programs, consulting with learning coaches and students via telephone and online tools to ensure successful completion of each child’s instructional program.

The role requires Pennsylvania teaching credentials, a bachelor’s degree, and full-time commitment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Teaching certificate in subject area is required.
• 2 years of relevant work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grade, create progress reports and conduct parent conferences in a timely manner.
• Support instructional program with asynchronous web conferencing and synchronous instruction.
• Review curriculum and adapt lessons to increase student understanding.
• Communicate with parents, students and teachers to develop Personal Learning Plans and schedules.
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure students progress and maintain contact with families.
• Maintain knowledge of the K-12 curriculum and detailed course content.
• Record keeping: student records, attendance, and communications.
• Coordinate social activities and field trips for students.
