Job summary

Pennwood Cyber Charter School is seeking dynamic, Pennsylvania-certified elementary teachers to join our instructional team. This remote position requires living in Pennsylvania or within a one-day drive of the state, with priority for Pennsylvania residents.

Teachers will deliver high-quality virtual instruction using phone, video conferencing, LMS, and curriculum tools. You will collaborate with learning coaches, students, and colleagues to ensure engagement and completion of the learning

Qualifications

• Pennsylvania-certified Elementary Teacher (K-6 or PreK-4 / 4-8 with elementary coverage) is required.
• Must reside in Pennsylvania or within a one-day drive of the state.
• Prior virtual teaching experience preferred.
• Strong technology skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace; LMS familiarity a plus).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging asynchronous and synchronous instruction in whole group, small group, and 1:1 settings.
• Complete all grading, lesson preparation, and student/family communications within established timelines.
• Collaborate regularly with grade-level and subject-area teams (PLCs) to update Personal Learning Plans.
• Score assessments and provide actionable feedback.
• Maintain accurate records, including attendance, grades, and communication logs.
• Support implementation of IEPs and accommodations for students with special needs.
