Job summary

Alpha reimagines K-2 reading instruction with AI-adaptive apps and small-group workshops. As a Reading Coach, you’ll guide eager learners through structured-literacy activities and data-informed sessions, avoiding traditional curricula.

You’ll build trust in the classroom, host 20-minute workshops, and use live performance data to tailor lessons. The role requires relevant certification or a reading master's, and in-person campus work across multiple cities.

Qualifications

• Structured-literacy certification OR Master's in reading instruction.
• Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years of full-time K-2 reading instruction.
• Ability to design reading lessons independently from student data.
• Ability to assess reading growth in fluency and decoding.
• In-person, full-time at a campus (Dallas area).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Create and facilitate small-group K-2 reading workshops rooted in structured-literacy frameworks, informed by live data.
• Facilitate daily motivation sessions to ensure targets are met using Alpha's systems.
• Conduct running records, fluency assessments, and decoding diagnostics.
• Analyze AI-generated insights to differentiate instruction during sessions.
• Be the approachable adult your students are excited to see daily.
