Job summary

The Alpha literacy program seeks a capable Guide to lead structured-reading workshops for K-2 students on-site at one of our Alpha campuses. You will design engaging lessons, use AI-adaptive tools, and drive measurable reading gains with live data.

Requirements include certification in structured literacy or a Master’s in reading instruction, plus 2+ years of full-time K-2 experience; visa sponsorship is not available. This is a full-time W2 role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Certification in structured literacy or a Master’s in reading instruction.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of full-time K-2 structured reading instruction in past 5 years.
• Ability to design reading lessons and articulate methods without dependence on a published program.
• Availability to work full-time on-site at one Alpha campus (Phoenix, AZ; OK; TX; UT).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Create and facilitate small-group K-2 reading workshops rooted in structured-literacy approaches, informed by live data.
• Conduct daily motivation sessions to ensure 100% of students reach weekly adaptive-app targets.
• Deliver and interpret running records, fluency assessments, and decoding probes.
• Analyze AI-generated data to differentiate instruction dynamically during sessions.
• Serve as an energetic, approachable adult for K-2 students.
