Job summary

Applitrack seeks a K-2 Classroom Support Aide at Northlake Elementary School (High-Needs School) for immediate start. Under supervision, you will assist certified staff with students to meet instructional goals and help with non-professional duties to support the educational program.

Responsibilities include reinforcing literacy and math skills, small-group support, record-keeping, behavior management, and supervision during meals, bus duty, and field trips.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Completion of college coursework or passing of NCLB exam.

Responsibilities

• Assists and guides students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, social-emotional, and other skills.
• Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement programs.
• Assists staff in administration and correction of classroom exercises and assessments.
• Prepares instructional materials and reinforces concepts for individual student needs.
• Maintains records documenting student learning and behavior.
• Supports classroom behavior management to keep a safe, orderly environment.
• Supervises students in non-instructional areas (lunch, bus, playground, hallways).
• Accompanies students on field trips for supervision.
• Assists with parent contact to encourage involvement.
• Follows safety rules and assists students with special needs as required.
• May assist with student hygiene and toileting.
