Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support K-12 students in an Alabama school setting on a contract basis. The role emphasizes collaboration with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams to advance communication skills and literacy.

Responsibilities include conduct of therapy, IEP development, progress monitoring, and documentation, with ongoing professional development and opportunities for renewal based on performance.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active state licensure or eligibility to obtain.
  • Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative communication skills.
  • Knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and progress monitoring.
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet individualized student needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders within a K-12 school setting
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
  • Conduct regular therapy sessions, both individually and in group settings
  • Provide support and education to teachers, staff, and families to promote student growth
  • Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress toward communication goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to develop effective interventions
  • Stay current with best practices and continuing education relevant to pediatric speech therapy
