Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide essential services in a Trafford, AL school setting. This contract role focuses on assessments, diagnosis, and intervention to support students’ communication skills and success in academics.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure/certification as required for school-based SLP roles.
• Experience serving children/adolescents in academic settings preferred.
• Solid knowledge of IEP processes, speech and language assessment, and intervention strategies.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language assessments and contributing to eligibility determinations
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with students unique needs and IEP goals
• Delivering targeted therapy sessions, both individually and in small groups
• Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to monitor student progress and adapt interventions as needed
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation in accordance with district and legal requirements
• Participating in IEP meetings and professional development opportunities
• Promoting student participation, communication skills, and confidence in classroom settings
