Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist to support elementary through high school students in and around Flint, Michigan. You will assess, diagnose, and provide direct speech-language therapy within a collaborative educational setting.

The role emphasizes IEP development, progress documentation, and collaboration with teachers, families, and support staff to foster inclusive learning.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan SLP license required.
• Experience in school-based settings preferred.
• Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and provide direct speech and language therapy services for students in elementary, middle, and high school settings.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and student progress.
• Work closely with teachers, families, and support staff to foster an inclusive school community.
• Provide guidance and support to educators regarding best practices for communication facilitation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student success plans.
