Job summary

The Special Education Teacher position at Amergis serves K-12 students with dedicated instructional support. You will work under the Special Education Program Administrator and collaborate with general education staff to plan and implement individualized programs.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, valid state teaching certificate, and an endorsement (LBS1 preferred). Compliance with health, CPR, and certification standards is required; 18+ years age minimum is noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• Current CPR and health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students K–12.
• Collaborate with general education staff in planning and implementing student programs.
• Deliver targeted instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation as needed.
