Job summary

The Special Education Teacher position at Amergis, under the Special Education Program Administrator, delivers targeted instruction and supports to special education students across K–12. You will collaborate with general education staff to plan and implement individualized programs and provide tutorial assistance as needed.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, a valid state teaching certificate, and preferred LBS1 endorsement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience preferred.
• CPR and health certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Participate in planning and implementing student programs, including special instruction and tutorials.
• Consult with general education staff to support student success and compliance with standards.
