Amergis is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in a collaborative school environment. The role emphasizes team planning, individualized instruction, and consultation with general education staff.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, a valid state teaching certificate, and preferred LBS1 endorsement; CPR and health certifications are required where applicable. Must meet age and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations
• One year teaching experience preferred
• LBS1 endorsement preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.
• Commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.
• Collaborate with general education staff to support individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
