Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher to serve students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The role reports to the Special Education Program Administrator and emphasizes teamwork in planning and implementing individualized programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required or preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience preferred.
• State Teacher Certification types: Elementary, Secondary, and Special Teaching (preferred).
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and implementing student programs with general education staff.
• Deliver special instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation with general education staff.
