Job summary

Soliant in California is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter for the 2025-2026 school year. You will be assigned to one campus for 32.5 hours per week, providing real-time interpretation to K-12 students and collaborating with teachers to ensure access to the curriculum.

The ideal candidate has NAD or EIPA certification and strong ASL skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students.

Qualifications

• NAD Certification or EIPA with a score of 4.0+ is required
• Experience interpreting in K-12 environments preferred
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, students, and families
• Strong knowledge of ASL and educational interpreting practices
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Passion for supporting student learning and inclusion

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time sign language interpretation for K-12 students during classroom instruction and school activities
• Work closely with teachers to ensure Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students receive high-quality access to the curriculum
• Foster a positive and inclusive setting for all learners
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
• Support student participation in both academic and extracurricular activities
• Collaborate with families and school staff to support student success
