Soliant is hiring a full-time in-person Sign Language Interpreter to support one deaf student at a high school near Chaska, MN for the full school year. You will provide real-time ASL interpretation during classes and events, helping the student access the curriculum and participate in school life.

The role requires strong ASL skills, prior educational interpreting experience, and a commitment to confidentiality and collaboration with school staff. Open for 60 days from posting.

Qualifications

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings, preferably high school
• Ability to foster trusting relationships with deaf or hard-of-hearing students
• Capable of working full-time throughout the upcoming school year
• Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and collaboration with school staff

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time, in-person sign language interpretation during classroom instruction, activities, and events
• Adapt communication styles to the student’s needs and preferences
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure full curriculum access
• Help build a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Support the student’s social integration and peer communication
