Job summary

South San Francisco Unified School District seeks a Director of Information Technology to plan, organize and administer the IT Department, including WAN, district systems, and staff support across the district.

The role involves supervising personnel and guiding the District’s information technology strategy, ensuring instructional and operational systems meet needs. A degree in IT and 5+ years in network/MIS roles (2+ years in K-12) are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
• Five years' progressively responsible experience in network management and the administration and maintenance of management information systems including three years in a supervisory capacity.
• At least two years of K-12 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and administer the activities of the Information Technology Department including wide area network, district financial and payroll system, SIS systems, VoIP telephone system, PC repair and related equipment.
• Supervise and evaluate instructional, informational and communication services of the District; serve as the IT visionary and authority.
