Job summary

Westport Community Schools seeks a Director of Technology to guide the district’s technology strategy and operations. You will oversee network infrastructure, data privacy, and the district’s SIS and LMS integrations while driving 1:1 device initiatives and user support.

Collaboration with curriculum and admin teams is essential, with accountability to the Superintendent. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in IT management in K-12 settings, a degree in CS/IT, and relevant certifications; a Master’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Experience as a District Wide Director of Technology.
• Minimum 5 years IT management with strong networking; K-12 MA experience preferred.
• Certifications such as METAA CTO, CoSN CETL, Cisco CCNA/CCNP or Security+ a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and district-wide IT management.
• Oversee district network, security, and data center operations.
• Lead privacy, compliance, and vendor contract activities.
• Manage SIS/DESE reporting and 1:1 device initiatives.
• Support staff development and technology integration in classrooms.
