Job summary

Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District seeks an information services leader to oversee district-wide network infrastructure, software systems, and cyber security measures. The role involves policy development, project management, staff supervision, and security operations.

The incumbent will ensure robust information systems across multiple sites, coordinate with external agencies, and lead staff to meet district IT objectives, including non-standard hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience troubleshooting, configuring, testing, and maintaining networks, information systems, and cyber security in a large enterprise.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, information technology or related field from an accredited institution.
• Alternate path: Associate's degree + CCNA or MCSE or similar network certification.

Responsibilities

• Recommends, develops, implements, and evaluates information services policies and practices.
• Establishes goals, standards, and specifications for information services projects.
• Plans, monitors, and tracks expenditures and budgets for information services projects.
• Coordinates analyses and reports for district, county, state, and federal reporting.
• Coordinates identification and containment of electronic security threats and incidents.
• Oversees installation, upgrade, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network infrastructure hardware and software.
