Job summary

McAllen Independent School District is seeking a Cybersecurity Project Specialist to lead security-related projects and support district technology security operations, including Police Department solutions.

The role requires strong problem solving, communications, and organizational skills, with experience in CJIS policy and various hardware/software platforms in a K-12 environment. Immediate start is available, with full-time duties in McAllen, TX.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: High School diploma, required
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or 8 years of experience in lieu of degree, required
• Certification(s) in technology preferred
• Experience with CJIS Security Policy and security operations is valued

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of assigned technology security projects and define high-quality results for each project.
• Provide technology support for district security operations and Police Department solutions.
• Coordinate and manage allocation of technology staff and/or interns to support projects.
• Develop communication plans for projects using multiple mediums.
• Provide customer service to district users for technology solutions and issue resolution.
• Develop and implement training plans during and after deployment.
• Coordinate with vendors to deliver high-quality project results.
• Create documentation to replicate processes and update training for hardware/software
