Job summary

Region 16 ESC in Amarillo, Texas seeks an Information Security Specialist II to join the Security Team. You will support security services for the organization and contracted LEAs, help create and maintain security policies, and ensure protection of critical assets through network and data protection practices.

The role requires knowledge of TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, and various security frameworks, plus strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS or equivalent experience required.
• CASP+/SecurityX certification required; OSCP/CISSP preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist security team and LEAs with cybersecurity services.
• Oversee logging across network devices for monitoring and compliance.
• Manage encryption certificates to ensure secure communications.
• Assist in planning and design of enterprise security architecture.
